Guy Levy
Mr. Levy Is from Tel Aviv, Israel. In 1984, he moved with his family to San Diego where he attended high school, and then continued to San Diego State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (with honors) with an emphasis In Marketing. He attended law School at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he completed a Judicial Externship for the Honorable Herbert Hoffman, Judge of the San Diego Superior Court. During law school, Mr. Levy was also a member of the school’s Law Review, where he published a case study article entitled “Western Telcon v. California Lottery: Will Native Americans Lose Again?.” In 1997, Mr. Levy received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating in the top 8% of his class. Following law school, Mr. Levy founded and began his legal career practicing civil litigation and workers compensation law as a partner at a boutique law firm. His wife Erika is a native San Diegan. They live in Erika’s childhood neighborhood in the Carmel Valley area with their two sons and daughter.
Marianne Malek is the Managing Partner of Guy Levy Law. She helps lead the firm's success with over 15 years experience in negotiation, management, and civil litigation with a focus on personal injury and workers' compensation. She has received the SuperLawyers award for 2022, 2021 and many previous years. Marianne received her Masters of Business Administration focused in Business from Point Loma Nazarene University, and her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. She and her husband reside in San Diego with their two daughters.
Having graduated from UC Irvine with honors and Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan, cum laude, Andrea Nichols has served the legal community for nearly 17 years as a personal injury lawyer for plaintiffs, mediator, city representative, and previously an insurance defense lawyer. She specializes in a wide variety of legal fields including auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip/trip and fall accidents, premises liability, animal bites, DUI, workers’ compensation, intentional and negligent torts, and general civil litigation. She puts the client at the center of every case, ensuring that their voices are heard and that their vital contributions are made. As a 2021 and 2022 winner of the Elite Lawyers Award, she brings unique insights to fighting insurance companies and corporations to every case.
Outside the office, Andrea spends time with her husband and two wonderful children, and her extended family. She loves to ski, snowboard, hike, camp, play sports and make crafts. A strong believer in volunteer work, she currently volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster youth, and at her church as a Eucharistic Minister and Sunday School teacher for 6th graders. She also formerly served as a mentor to military spouses in navigating military life, a volunteer coach for many youth sports, and a moot court judge for a local competition.
Born and raised in San Diego, Angie began working with Guy Levy Law as a receptionist in 2004 and worked her way up to become the indispensable office manager. The mother of three, she is a baseball fanatic and also loves to travel. She is fluent in both Spanish and English
Steve Guilin is an associate attorney at Guy Levy Law. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1997. Steve first met Guy Levy while attending law school, and they have remained good friends ever since. Steve and Guy have taken several trips with their boys, camping in the Sierras and traveling to New York. Steve started working with Guy Levy in 2014. Previously, Steve worked for GEICO Insurance as an adjuster, where he learned firsthand how big insurance companies are more concerned with their bottom line than doing the right thingfor their insureds. Steve is passionate about helping others and fights hard to help clients obtain the justice they deserve.
Born in Mexico, Marlin was raised in San Diego and is proud of the multicultural environment of the city, which allows her to instill Hispanic culture into her son's life. Fascinated by both medicine and law, she has worked on workers' compensation cases with Mr. Levy since 2000. With Mr. Levy's encouragement she is currently attending law school while still working full time. While her greatest passion is writing, as a true San Diegan, she enjoys all outdoor activities, on and off the water. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Born in Mexico, Fernanda moved to San Diego when she was two years old. Currently studying business at Cuyamaca College, she still makes time to hike and enjoy spontaneous adventures with her family. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Milano Sliwa is a true example of the American Dream. Her family escaped Iraq and immigrated to the US from Syria though United Nations Asylum Program In the US, Milano learned to speak English in under 6 months and graduated from Grossmont Middle College High School with 1 year of college credits and transferred to San Diego State University. She graduated SDSU with Magna Cum Laude in just 3 years as a political science major. Currently, Milano is a law student at Thomas Jefferson School of Law and will be graduating in 2024. She took on the position as a Law Clerk at GLL to gain experience, learn more about the field, and most importantly, help others. Milano is fluent in Arabic and Neo-Aramaic speaking both Chaldean and Assyrian. Aside from studying and working, Milano enjoys singing, many types of water activity, exercising, and volunteering to help her community. She is extremely thankful to be a Law Clerk at GLL (the feeling is mutual) and is excited for her future career as an attorney.
Kimberly Avalos was born and raised in San Diego, California. She is bilingual and speaks Spanish fluently as her family is originally from Mexico.. Kimberly is a mother of one son Zarek with whom she loves to spend time doing fun activities. She played soccer from a young age through high school where she was the varsity soccer team captain. She enjoys exercising and outdoor activities like hiking, running and camping. Kimberly very involved with the community with such activities as food drivers and coaching soccer.
Alfonso A. Vasquez was born and raised in San Diego and is fluent in English and Spanish. He is currently studying at Western Sierra Law School . Prior to attending law school, Alfonso minored in administration of justice and graduated on the Dean’s honors roll. He grew up playing baseball at a competitive level and still makes time for physical activities. Alfonso loves off-roading adventures. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Amaris was born and raised in San Diego. She speaks fluent Spanish as her family is originally from Mexico. Inspired by her mother’s career in the legal field, she began working for Guy Levy Law in November of 2022. As a former beauty pageant winner and model, Amaris brings great poise, grace, and intelligence to her role at our firm. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Jennifer Stacie was adopted by American missionaries and grew up with 25 siblings. She holds dual citizenship and relocated to San Diego in September 2018. Jennifer Stacie has extensive experience in the customer service and fitness industries. Already certified in personal training, Jennifer Stacie is currently studying to become a pilates and yoga instructor while working as a Paralegal. Law has always been an interest of hers, so when the opportunity to work at Guy Levy Law presented itself, she joined the team. Her hobbies include reading, music, working out, and outdoor activities.
Jennifer was born in Israel and immigrated with her family to San Diego, California when she was in elementary school. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University and a M.A. in Counseling from the University of San Diego. Jennifer began working for Guy Levy Law in 2019 when she changed careers from her previous 15+ year’s professional experience in Higher Education Administration as a Career and Academic Counselor at institutions such as San Diego State University, San Diego City College, and the Art Institute of San Diego. She is the proud parent of her daughter, Mia.
Vanessa is a proud San Diego native. She holds a Culinary Arts degree from the International Culinary Schools at the Art Institutes. Vanessa began working for Guy Levy Law during the pandemic in 2020. She comes with extensive experience in the local restaurant industry. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys riding her 1985 Georgina Terry vintage road bike.
